MS2 Hospital Operations Transformation Program
MS2 Emergency Department Operations Analysis
MS2 Emergency Department Management Services
Hospitals need a tailored approach to translate strategic vision for the ED into workable and sustainable actions.
MS2 was developed to:
MS2 impacts two areas where many hospitals seek improvement:
MS2 helps transcend strong departmental silos, connect decentralized processes, eliminate adversarial practices, create firm accountabilities and empower the staff to lead the change. It produces significant results within a short period of time (6 months or less) and utilizes current resources to avoid major capital investments.
Another unique feature of the MS2 ED Transformation Program is its development and implementation by MS2 clinicians who can work right alongside your ED staff while change initiatives are implemented.
Because we are primarily a clinician driven group, our Doctors and Midlevel Providers develop tighter relationships with your staff, enjoy more credibility, and obtain more buy-in for the changes. Furthermore, this improves knowledge transfer as it allows us to coach your staff on the best practices necessary to leverage the potential of your new operational model
right at the patient’s bedside. The benefit of this approach cannot be duplicated through any other consulting offering on the market today.
MS2 Highlights:
In some cases, management knows that a problem exists and some kind of solution is needed, but they are unable to clearly articulate the issues that need attention. In addition, they want to define the performance metrics that solutions must achieve in order to gauge their effectiveness. Finally, they would like to know what would be the total expected costs of these initiatives and the forecasted Return on Investment (ROI) from successful implementation.
The MS2 ED Operations Analysis is a comprehensive study that identifies the scope, extent and reach of critical ED problems and Hospital Patient Flow bottlenecks. The analysis also assesses conceptual, political and cultural barriers to change within the department and across the organization, identifies parameters for change initiatives, and recommends performance metrics with which to monitor change effectiveness.
Upon completion of the MS2 Analysis, you will have the right information to make informed decisions about the appropriate course of action.
Under this option, MS2 is hired as an outsourced management firm accountable to the client under an ED Operations Management contract. MS2 will train all current ED staff and deploy the MS2 Hospital Operations Transformation Methodology to solve operational deficiencies and improve performance according to measurable parameters that are part of the contract.
In addition, MS2 will act as a hospital-wide patient flow management team and optimize the interfaces between the ED, Ancillary Departments and the Inpatient Units to achieve “world class” patient flow performance metrics.
